Under the guidance and passion from Riot’s Director Daniel Stolzman and Art Director Annis Naem, I was in charge of crafting the color and light of the episode in the color script and designing the environments and specially the alley where agent Phoenix has a look at the mirror.
Staying true to the game, we made sure we presented a Bind that was lived and alive, a true cinematic and immersive world mixing technology and tradition, with great FX moments.
Allowing the camera to move freely inside of an illustration and enhancing the graphic, almost comic look, of lighting, compositing and FX.
In 2020 I jumped on the chance to Art Direct internally at Axis the second chapter of the Valorant game lore: Duality, for Riot Games.
I supervised with CG supervisor Steven Barbour the look dev and production team working closely with the environment and LRC vis dev team to develop the look and pipeline for this project. It was a huge team effort and we learnt so much together. Valorant has a unique and strong identity, which we worked to preserve with the incredible wizardry of the teams at Axis.
